On other apps you are a card flicked past with a thumb. In the Oda you are a guest who is expected. The oda is the guest room of a traditional Albanian house, the place where visitors are welcomed and introductions are made. We built an app around that room.
How ODA works
- At 20:00, the Oda opens.Not thousands of faces: three introductions chosen for you, every evening, in your local time.
- Voice before face.You hear a person before you see them clearly. A few seconds of voice is enough to know if there is muhabet.
- The face is earned by conversation.Photos start blurred and open on their own as the conversation deepens. Never with money.
- You enter with besa.Nobody vanishes without a word. When it is not right, you close with respect, and your besa grows.
Three laws that are never broken
- No swiping. Ever. Nobody is a card in a deck. Three introductions a night, received like guests.
- Photos are never sold. No payment opens a face. The reveal is earned only through conversation.
- No fake profiles. Every person in the Oda is real. No bots, no “personas”.
Roots, dialect, generation
Your profile carries your family’s roots down to the village, your dialect (Gheg, Tosk or both) and your generation in the diaspora. The Oda weighs all of it, together with what you are here for, so an introduction is ours and not random. Choose “near me”, “Albanians in my city” or “the heart knows no distance”.
Fifty cards so the talk never stalls
Muhabet cards are drawn like cards over coffee: bilingual, written by hand, Albanian to the bone. “Byrek with cheese or spinach? (There is a wrong answer.)” “The moment you land in Rinas or Prishtina, in three words.”

What is ODA?
ODA is a dating app for Albanians in the homeland and the diaspora. Instead of swiping, every evening at 20:00 “the Oda opens” and you receive three introductions chosen for you. You hear a person’s voice before you see their face, and photos are revealed gradually as the conversation deepens.
How does ODA work?
You create a profile with your roots, city, dialect, intent and, if you like, a short voice introduction. Every evening at 20:00 in your local time you receive three introductions. When two people invite each other, the conversation (muhabet) opens. Photos start blurred and open in four stages: Spark, Embers, Flame and Fire.
Is ODA free?
Yes. ODA is free to download and use: the nightly introductions, the conversations and the photo reveal cost nothing. There are optional paid extras (ODA Gold and Boost), but no payment ever unlocks a photo. The reveal is earned only through conversation.
Why are the photos blurred?
Because in ODA voice comes before face. Photos start blurred and sharpen on their own the more you talk. The introduction starts from character rather than a two-second judgement, and your privacy is protected: only someone you have actually talked with sees your face clearly.
